Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based EQT Corporation (EQT) engages in the production, gathering, and transmission of natural gas. With a market cap of $36.2 billion, the company sells natural gas and natural gas liquids to marketers, utilities, and industrial customers located in the Appalachian Basin.

Companies worth $10 billion or more are generally described as “large-cap stocks,” and EQT fits right into that category, with its market cap exceeding this threshold, reflecting its substantial size and influence in the oil and gas E&P industry. EQT benefits from being the largest natural gas producer in the domestic market, with its operations in the basin spanning millions of acres and comprising proved oil and gas reserves.

EQT touched its 52-week high of $61.02 in the last trading session. EQT has rallied 12.3% over the past three months, outperforming the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLE7% decline over the same time frame.
